EDU.CIRCULAR – Whole-school pathways for circular economy education
EDU.CIRCULAR helps secondary schools integrate circular economy principles into everyday teaching and school culture. The project supports teachers, school leaders, and students in understanding how resource cycles, sustainable consumption, and community responsibility can be embedded into learning processes that are practical, engaging, and relevant to real life.
The initiative combines teacher training, blended learning resources, and a whole-school development framework that guides institutions through planning, testing, and scaling new approaches. Educators gain tools for designing lessons that encourage systems thinking and problem-solving, while students explore circularity concepts through interactive workshops, digital activities, and project-based learning.
EDU.CIRCULAR also strengthens cooperation between schools, families, and local communities. By involving parents and community partners, the project helps create supportive environments where circular behaviours can be practiced and reinforced beyond the classroom.
Through this comprehensive approach, EDU.CIRCULAR provides schools with a clear pathway to modernise their sustainability education, build long-term capacity, and equip young people with the skills needed to participate in a more circular and resilient society.
