ENTER - ONGOING

ENTER – Environmental open data for engaging curricula and research training

ENTER fosters collaboration between academia and local communities in India and Malaysia by establishing sustainable ecosystems driven by environmental data sharing and co-creation. The project connects Higher Education Institutions with stakeholders to address critical data gaps regarding natural resources, enabling informed decision-making and better environmental governance.

Through a blend of ICT solutions and innovative pedagogy, ENTER develops operational frameworks for data-driven pilots, including living labs and citizen science projects. It introduces new curricula, microcredentials, and challenge-based modules that equip students and professionals with the technical skills to manage and apply open data in real-world environmental planning scenarios.

At the institutional level, the project builds capacity within universities to manage community engagement and data infrastructure. By training academic staff and establishing the collaborative learning platform ENTERnet, the project ensures that educational systems are modernized to support continuous interaction between researchers and society.

Ultimately, ENTER empowers communities through digital literacy and data ownership, contributing to sustainable regional growth and transparent governance in line with the EU’s Global Gateway priorities.
