CIRCLE – Circularity and entrepreneurship for secondary schools

CIRCLE strengthens circular economy education in secondary schools by helping teachers and students develop practical skills for sustainable innovation. The project brings together schools, training organisations, and industry role models to introduce hands-on learning pathways that connect classroom teaching with real-world ecological and entrepreneurial challenges.

Through targeted teacher training, CIRCLE equips educators with tools, resources, and ready-to-use activities that support systems thinking, problem identification, and collaborative project work. Students participate in guided workshops and challenge-based learning cycles where they prototype ideas, test solutions, and explore the economic and environmental impact of their choices.

The project also creates a supportive ecosystem by engaging entrepreneurs, community actors, and local organisations in mentorship and inspiration activities. This network helps learners understand how circularity principles translate into business opportunities and community initiatives.
By combining pedagogy, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, CIRCLE provides schools with a clear, adaptable model for embedding circular thinking into the curriculum and empowering young people to contribute to a more resilient future.
